Lynn Marshel Humpleby

Lynn Marshel Humpleby of Queen Anne, MD passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the University of MD Medical Center at Easton, MD. Born in Easton on September 2, 1956, she was 70 years old. The daughter of the late William (Bill) C. Cooper and Joanne Margaret Turner Cooper, she had lived in Hillsboro and Queen Anne her entire life.

Lynn graduated from North Caroline High School in 1976 and had graduated as a Registered Nurse from Wesley College in Dover, DE. She worked for many years at the Caroline Center in Ridgely, MD before retiring. Active in her community, she was a Life Member of the Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company in Queen Anne where she had been Ambulance Captain, a member of the Board of Directors, and other committees as needed. Lynn was best described as always wanting to help other people.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Edward C. Humpleby of Queen Anne; a sister, Debra L. Parks (Don) of Gloucester, VA; a brother, William C. Cooper, Jr. (Julie Meekins and her daughter, Destiny)) of Queen Anne; three stepchildren: Amanda, Brandon, and Joshua all of Ohio; two nephews: Joey Cooper of Hillsboro and his children, William C. “Beau” Cooper III and Willow Cooper, and Andrew Brown (Nicole) and his children, Noah Brown and Tyler Brown; and one niece, Amanda Lynn Symonds (Mike) and her children, Hannah Symonds and Carter Symonds; and her faithful companion chocolate lab, Drake.

Friends may call from 6 until 8 pm on Monday, September 14th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton, MD. The funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, September 15th, at the Hillsboro-Queen Anne United Methodist Church in Hillsboro, MD. The interment will be in the Green Mount Cemetery on Cemetery Road in Hillsboro.
