Emory Lee Walston of Denton, MD, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Caroline Nursing Home in Denton. He was 80 years old.
Born in Easton, MD on July 25, 1946, he was the son of the late Emory Fountain Walston and Maryland Barrow Walston. He lived in Denton all of his life.
Mr. Walston was a 1964 graduate of North Caroline High School. After high school, he joined the MD National Guard and was Federalized on missions to Cambridge, MD and Baltimore, MD. He was the owner/operator of Emory Walston & Sons, Construction Plus, and Emory’s Welding and retired in 2025. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and had belonged to Caroline American Legion Post 29. But most of all, he loved and enjoyed his family.
Mr. Walston is survived by his wife whom he married on February 2, 1968, Kay W. Walston of Denton; two sons: David L. Walston (Steffani) of Indianapolis, IN and Brian E. Walston (Tricia) of Denton; a surrogate son, Steve Faulkner (Cindy) of Denton; five grandchildren: Eric (Christina), Christopher (Tiffany), Brayden, Brooks, and Elizabeth (Cody); three great grandchildren: Lily, Evelyn, and Talia; and a niece Karen Angerer Kowley of Dixon, Iowa and his faithful dog, Rascal. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Lionel and sister Beverly Siedel Angerer.
A memorial Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM on Friday, October 2nd, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may visit from 12 until 1 before the service. The interment will be at a later date.
