The official Facebook page of the Denton (MD) Police Department announced on Sept. 25, 2026, that Chief George Bacorn died following a motor vehicle accident.
Community members from Denton, Caroline County, and surrounding area posted messages of condolences to Chief Bacorn’s family and colleagues. The comments noted the tremendous loss of a leader and friend. Bacorn, 62, served with the Denton Police Department for 36 years.
