From 11 – 3 p.m. join us in downtown Denton between the 1st and 3rd blocks of Market St for a fun, free, family event.
There will be a bounce house for the kids, face painting, alpacas, vendors, food trucks, adoptable pets and more. Local Band Silhouette Song along with DJ Rick Ivens will be providing music in front of the town hall throughout the day. New this year is our Pawsitive Pet Parade where contestants can compete in the following categories: Best Pet Costume, Best Costume Combo Owner and Pet, Most Talented, Most Unique Looking and Grand champion. Entrance fee is just $10 in advance ($15 day of event) and trophies will be given.
Again this year there will also be a dunk tank where you will be able to dunk your favorite local celebrities all for the animals of the county. Also new this year is the Rabies clinic that will be hosted from 11 – 1 behind the court house. Vaccines will be just $5.00 per animal. On the same day from 12 – 8 p.m. Black Anchor Tattoo, located at 211 Market St, Denton, will be donating a portion of the monies earned from tattoos done during the event to CCHS!
Finally, to make the event even more exciting, Anthony Casey, Ridgley Town Commissioner, Stephanie Franklin, Vice Principal of the Benedictine School and Jules McCauley WCEI and WINX FM Radio host, are competing in a “get them tattooed” fundraising competition. They are all willing to get tattooed for the animals if they can raise $5,000 each for the animals of Caroline County. Go to www.carolinehumane.org and click on the link for their fundraising pages.
